McAllister vs. Schonfeld Finesse

Schonfeld Finesse: −29.5 | O/U: 196.5

The six-handed Schonfeld Finesse would certainly give them an advantage. But beware of the Dutch on McAllister, as they could make this matchup more competitive than expected.

Nickell vs. GX2S

Nickell: −27.5 | O/U: 197.5

Nickell still has the edge, but they have new partnerships in Bakhshi and Weinstein. It would be unlikely to see them make a deep run.

Dinkin vs. Cercol Rom

Dinkin: −6.5 | O/U: 195.5

This is a tough one to decide. Both teams have enough strength to make this a very competitive matchup.

Wolfson vs. China Evertrust

Wolfson: −45.5 | O/U: 196.5

Wolfson should take this one. It’ll be fun to see Yinghao and Yichao from Wolfson take on their Chinese counterparts.

Ventin vs. Agreman

Ventin: −30.5 | O/U: 205.5

Nyström and Upmark are the game changers here. Ventin has the edge. 

Shourie vs. Rosenberg

Shourie: −10.5 | O/U: 207.5

This is a matchup occurring much earlier than it should. The Australians will likely take down the Rosenberg squad.

Fleisher vs. Contra

Fleisher: −67.5 | O/U: 225.5

No explanation needed. The reigning Spingold champions will take this one.

TeamNL Open vs. 1907

NL Open: −12.5 | O/U: 199.5

1907 has several players who won silver (Jeo Hidro) at the Europeans in Poznan last year and could pose a huge threat. But NL Open has the stronger team overall.

Moran vs. Altshuler

Moran: −12.5 | O/U: 202.5

The Irish-French team has decent strength, but it would be quite unfair to say this will be a comfortable victory for them.

Silver Surfers vs. PKB International

Silver Surfers: −43.5 | O/U: 222.5

Having barely qualified, no one certainly wanted to choose Silver Surfers. They seem like exactly the kind of team that can turn it on in the knockouts.

Zhao vs. Omnibus

Zhao: −35.5 | O/U: 192.5

Zhao has some of the best Chinese players, many of whom have placed well in major events and have more experience. They should have the edge here.

Livia vs. Mavericks

Mavericks: −3.5

A very close one here. Italian and Polish pairs on both sides will make this an interesting matchup, but Mavericks should have a slight edge.

Overdeck vs. Silesia Gliwice

Overdeck: −25.5 | O/U: 210.5

While Overdeck struggled initially in the Swiss, the full-pro Italian squad should be able to take down Silesia.

Deep Finesse vs. Gillis

Deep Finesse: −7.5 | O/U: 195.5

Deep Finesse has the edge with Birman and Padon, but beware of team Gillis.

Julian Miglanc vs. Plitli

Julian Miglanc: −45.5 | O/U: 215.5

Though I’m not personally familiar with the players, the Polish team clearly has the stronger lineup based on their Swiss results. Who knows? Maybe that changes tomorrow.
